My ISO 9001 Journey: Failing Forward to Certification Success

In Zylloo, we find that growth doesn’t lie in comfort, it lies in challenge, perseverance, and going at it again. Recently, I undertook the task of being ISO 9001 – Quality Management System (QMS) certified under our training partner, the Professional Evaluation and Certification Board (PCBE), and it’s a tale I’m happy to tell.

My instructor, Mr. Cezzy Kanionga, the senior consultant of the Zylloo Consultant Group, is a dedicated and experienced trainer who exposed me to the quality management systems World. ISO 9001 is more than a standard, it’s a culture of continuous improvement, customer centricity, and organized processes enabling organizations to provide consistent value. The training was rigorous, interactive and enlightening, opening my eyes to the important role quality has to play at every stage of an organization.

After completing the course, I sat for the certification exam and failed. I scored 62.95, just shy of the 70% pass mark. It was disappointing, but not the end of the road. With support from my trainer and encouragement from the Zylloo team, I chose to retake the exam. This time, I passed with a score of 75.

That experience cemented something we firmly believe at Zylloo: failure is a learning curve. It does not define us, it refines us.

Zylloo is proud to provide ISO 9001 training in collaboration with PECEB because we’ve witnessed firsthand its strength. Whether you want to enhance the operational effectiveness of your organization or equip your workforce with world-standard quality practices, this certification is a strategic investment.

As one who walked the journey, fell, and rose again, I urge you to make the jump. The rewards extend beyond the certificate. It’s about change of mindset, operations, and results.
